The musician behind the sound.

Inspecta is a musician, entertainer and live act from Cologne. As a quiet kid, he watched the world from the sidelines and “inspected” what was happening around him – which is how his artist name came to be. Hip-hop gave him a language for those observations, turning them into rhymes over beats. Today, his mostly positive sound blends hip-hop, reggae, dancehall and pop with memorable hooks, attitude and sharp humour. He deliberately keeps his music open: a hazy reggae song may be followed by a socially critical techno track. Inspecta follows creativity rather than a formula – the right people will find the music. Tracks such as “Highnzelmann”, “Stonagal”, “Danke Karl” and “Brokkoliebe” connect him firmly with 420 culture. “Talahon und Talahina”, by contrast, represents his satirical side: a social track that captures the spirit of the times with pointed humour. On 20 April 2024, Inspecta performed in front of thousands at the Brandenburg Gate; he has also been a regular live act at Mary Jane Berlin for five consecutive years. He brings positive energy to club shows, festivals and cannabis events.
